Honey on tap!
The original Flow Hive—a world-first self-harvesting beehive.
Turn the Flow Key and watch as pure, fresh honey flows right out of the hive and into your jar.
No mess, no fuss, no heavy lifting, and no expensive processing equipment.
Through the clear end-frame view, you can see when the honey is ready without opening up the hive.
The extraction process is so gentle, the bees barely notice at all.
Our revolutionary Flow system makes the extraction process far less stressful for the bees and so much easier for the beekeeper.

Completed construction today and all went well, you should be very pleased to know! No problems encountered and the instructions were very clear.
It looks great and I’m very impressed with the quality of production. Thanks again for a great product.

Hello Flow crew,
Just thought I’d let you know we harvested from our Flow for the first time down here in Apollo Bay in Southern Victoria and even though we’ve seen all the videos, we were still gobsmacked when the honey just came pouring out into our jar!
We got around 10kg after just a month of them using it (getting ready to shut it down for winter) and are enjoying giving away jars to friends. What an amazing innovation – the kids and I harvested in shorts and thongs… here are some pics!

How generous! I have to say that we are SO impressed with your company and your products!
My neighbor and I both have your entire set-up and so far it is working like a charm! My neighbor has done all of the ordering in the past, but we are both beginning bee keepers and you have made this so much fun and I have to say ‘easy’!
THANK YOU!

Thank YOU!! Flow Frame team. I would never have gotten into beekeeping without you!
I have learned so much. My Biggest thanks to all on here for all your help and to the Flow Team for setting up this forum for us to support each other. And to the Great Father and Son that developed this great system to allow people like myself honeybee's.

This was our very first Flow Hive harvest!
It took the bees one full month (June) to fill the flow frames with honey.
It took about 2 hours to harvest all honey.

Mind-blowing! It's not very often something is so revolutionary as to blow my mind. Saving 20 per cent of harvest labor is not trivial; 40 per cent is amazing; 60 per cent is revolutionary. But 95 per cent – that’s mind-boggling!

Thank you Flow Team for the amazing flow hive product.
Ours was a Christmas Present to our family. We put our colony in at the end of January and harvested our first honey 2 months later.

My 1st year when I harvested it was about the middle of August and I was so excited to see the honey come out right out of my hive and be able to taste immediately!
I don’t remember what I yielded but it was awesome!
I only got the one harvest but I had quite a few friends come and witness this incredible event.

The labor for the Flow is a lot less for harvesting but the same as for as management.
Harvesting honey from the Flow Hive is a joy instead of heavy work and takes less than an hour.
You still have the personal contact with your bees through inspections and such as you do with an other type hive.

I was completely amazed and surprised at the amount of honey that came out. It was easy to use and there was very little disturbance to the whole hive. Dani Lloyd-Prichard

From Go to Flow in under three months! I have had great success with the Flow Hive- harvested four frames for 12 kg of honey.
Read, study, use the Flow Forum, follow instructions and you won't have problems putting the Flow Hive together and getting bees to work happily and harvesting with no stress.

I was impressed by the high standard of your product, the packaging, and lots of information on putting things together.
Now I can make the changes to my hives and be ready to collect some honey.

It has been really exciting to be included in the first automatic honey-harvesting device in history. I am really proud of what the Andersons have achieved. Cedar gave me the first jar of honey ever harvested in this way and it is still in my pantry, too precious to be eaten. Congratulations, you two.

In 2014 I had the pleasure of testing the Flow Frames. The bees quickly accepted them and, in less than two weeks, capped 40 pounds of honey. It was quite exciting to see the first bit of honey appear at the outlet, then make its way down the tube into the jar. Mesmerising.

This really is a revolution. You can see into the hive, see when the honey is ready, and take it away in such a gentle way.

Dear Flow hive Team, Guess what!
Today I harvest my first honey with the Flow hive and it was so easy and Perfect and fast. It was SUCH a pleasure. A+ I like to have more flow frames for my other boxes...

Greetings from denmark. You did it - now we know it works. We just did the first harvest last weekend. Harvesting approx 10 kg honey.
The only thing was that it didn't last for longer because it was so funny and a great joy that we have looked forward to for a long time. We even kept a close eye on the frame close to the inspection window and was surprised to see NOTHING happening when we opened the cells..

Many years ago, I went down to one of my beehives, which I knew was a pretty wild hive. It was getting on towards evening and a bit of a grey day, so not the best time for beekeeping!
So I put on the bee veil my grandma made me and pressed the gaffer tape back on the mesh that covered the rips in it. Then I put on my glove, (I couldn’t find the second one). I fired up the smoker and blew plenty of smoke into the hive.
When I opened the lid my suspicions were confirmed. The bees weren’t happy about being disturbed. I pulled my sleeve over my gloveless hand, blew some more smoke into the hive, and pulled some nice frames of honey out.
The hive was packed with bees and it was near impossible to get the honey out without squashing lots of them. I really don’t like squashing bees!
They don't like it either and the bees became grumpier and started to sting me through my beekeeper suit.
I put the hive back together as quickly as I could, squashing more bees as the lid went on and ended up running away across the field, thinking, "There has to be a better way!"
So, my Dad Stuart and I set to work on a decade long task of inventing the beekeeper's dream.
We are so happy to say that now you can harvest the honey with virtually no disturbance to the bees. It's a dream come true for us and we are actually quite surprised ourselves at just how well our Flow Frames work.
After a decade of work, it's so exciting to be finally bringing our Flow hive invention to the world. You can now buy Flow Hives in our shop, join our online community in the Forum, watch awesome videos and read our FAQ pages.
