Bee Veil - Organic Cotton

Since the inclusion of a complimentary Flow Bee Veil with all of our Flow Hive purchases, this accessory has become extremely popular with our Flow community. We are delighted to now have on offer a new improved version of this versatile veil in GOTS certified unbleached organic cotton.

A comfortable, lightweight hat with a thin nylon veil attached. Handy as a precaution for protecting your head and face when doing minor chores around your hives, or for giving to a friend to wear on an apiary tour.

Flow Hive technology drastically reduces the chance of being stung during harvest, however even the friendliest hive can get cranky sometimes.

These veils offer convenient face protection, however are not suitable for use when getting up close and personal with an open hive or a cranky colony.

One size fits most.

  • Do not machine wash
  • Do not dry clean
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Dry flat

Always store your Bee Veil carefully to ensure nothing damages the mesh, and make sure you inspect the veil before use for any tears or bee-sized gaps. To read more on care guidelines see our FAQ here.

Safety

Please be aware that the Flow Veil is not a complete beekeeping suit and does not offer suitable protection for opening your hive or handling an aggravated colony.

Beekeeping is a labour of love. As with all animal husbandry, it’s a pastime which requires knowledge, skill and dedication and which carries with it inherent risks. Sooner or later, all beekeepers get stung. Some people have severe allergies to bee stings, so please be aware of the potential hazards when considering whether beekeeping is right for you.

WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING

  • Just wanted to let you guys know my Flow Hive has performed better than expected.
The old timers in my bee club had a bit of prejudice on the Flow Hive but my videos may be bring them to the dark side. This is my first year to keep bees so maybe being clueless helped. It was very easy to harvest honey and the girls loved the box.
A kudos to the durability of the Flow Hive both my hives made it through TS Harvey with banana trees on top & 4ft flood water under the platforms.

  • My mentor asked me to help with his 1st Flow Hive harvest.
He has been a bee keeper for 38 years and was very skeptical about the Flow Hive's. After seeing my Flow Hive working so well, he decided to purchase one as well.
To say the least, he is very happy with how it does not bother the bee's  and such little cleanup involved since you don't need to use conventional extraction methods.
So if he can convert to Flow Hives, anyone can.

  • This really is a revolution. You can see into the hive, see when the honey is ready, and take it away in such a gentle way.

    Graham A.

    Backyard beekeeper for 40 years

  • I was impressed by the high standard of your product, the packaging, and lots of information on putting things together.

Now I can make the changes to my hives and be ready to collect some honey.
