Flow Ventilated 3-layer Mesh Beekeeping Kit

Flow ventilated 3-layer mesh suits

(for now, available only in the USA)

Bees can get cranky. And when they do, you want to be wearing the best beekeeper suit you can get. And our three-layer ventilated mesh beekeeper suits are just that.

While Flow Hive technology does drastically reduce the chance of being stung during harvest, if you drop a bee-filled brood frame during a routine inspection, you are sure to attract unwanted attention!

Cooler than traditional beekeeping suits they are made with three layers of ventilated textile. The mesh lets breezes in and allows sweat to evaporate so you can to get to work on even the hottest days. The ventilated mesh sits high and away from the skin which helps to prevent bee stings.

Featuring ankle zippers that let you put the suit on or take if off without removing your boots, these roomy suits come with thick, cotton-lined breast and side pockets and knee and elbow gaiters.

Made tough enough for heavy commercial use, they are also affordable enough to offer newbees total comfort and confidence while they learn.

Complete with high quality YKK zippers head to toe, fully removable fencing veil, plus anti-bunch elastic thumb and ankle stirrups, these suits are the ultimate in beekeeping protection. This kit also includes ventilated gauntlet goatskin gloves and and a J-style hive tool.

Shipped straight from our warehouse in Chicago, USA.

Available in sizes XXS - 3XL, there’s a suit to suit (almost) everybody.

What bee suit size should I pick?

Bee suits are meant to be worn over normal clothing, so so we suggest you pick 1 or 2 sizes bigger than you normally wear.

NOTE: This sizing chart below are measurements of the suit fabric itself.  In order to properly use this chart you would need to compare the chart to your own body size measuring over the top of your clothing and include additional length for movement.

WHEN MEASURING YOUR OWN SIZE, MEASURE OVER CLOTHING AND GIVE PLENTY OF ROOM TO MOVE AROUND.  BEEKEEPER SUIT OVERALLS ARE WORN SLIGHTLY BAGGY OVER YOUR CLOTHING SO CHOOSE A SIZE WHICH WILL GIVE YOU PLENTY OF ROOM TO MOVE AROUND.

It is generally recommended that you consider sizing your beesuit overalls a bit larger size than normal clothing in order to accommodate wearing clothes underneath and for loose fitting. The most important measurement on sizing is the torso, or "nape to crotch" in the sizing chart shown below.  To properly calculate this measurement, measure your own body from the top of your shirt collar to about 15cm / 6in below the bottom of your crotch. The next important measurement to consider is the "waist band circumference" which is an elastic waistband. You will want the elastic waistband to be fitting your individual size. When gathering your measurements, also consider wearing clothes especially a sweater/jumper if you think you will need to wear this type of clothing under your suit when managing your hive.

Slightly larger than your normal sized clothing will be preferred as you DO NOT want your beesuit to be tight fitting. Beekeeper suits are not tight fitting fashion items and the best fitting beekeepers suit is slightly baggy. It is the loose fitting cotton material that keeps you from getting stung by angry bees. Beekeeper suit sizes DO run slightly larger than your normal clothing to account for this needed baggy fitting already. However, it is also recommended that you consider selecting a larger size if right on the edge of two sizes.

Sizing Example: A typical male 183cm / 6 feet tall and weighing 80kg / 175 pounds will fit both a Medium or Large sized beekeepers suit. However when wearing the tighter fitting size medium simple tasks such as bending over the hive may make the suit tight fitting or lift the ankle cuffs up over the top of your boots. Therefore a LARGE would be the preferred size.
