  • Flow Hive Classic Araucaria 6 Frame

    Hello Flow crew,
Just thought I’d let you know we harvested from our Flow for the first time down here in Apollo Bay in Southern Victoria and even though we’ve seen all the videos, we were still gobsmacked when the honey just came pouring out into our jar!

We got around 10kg after just a month of them using it (getting ready to shut it down for winter) and are enjoying giving away jars to friends. What an amazing innovation – the kids and I harvested in shorts and thongs… here are some pics!

PRECISION MANUFACTURING & PREMIUM TIMBER

The patented Flow Frame technology allows you to tap honey directly from your hive. Made in Australia, from durable, highest quality food-grade, BPA and BPS-free plastic- Flow Frames have taken the beekeeping world by storm.

Crafted from sustainably harvested Australian Araucaria, also known as Hoop Pine, using precision laser manufacturing, and paired with a full set of 6 Flow Frames, this is one sweet hive!

Araucaria is a premium Australian native cabinet timber, highly regarded for its stability & durability. To ensure it lasts a long time outdoors, two good coats of quality weatherproof sealant such as exterior house paint or varnish is a must. You can be as creative with the paint job as you like! (See photos further down for some inspiration.)

All images are for illustrative purposes - actual product may vary slightly. Timber included in this product is made from naturally grown resources - each hive will be slightly different in character.

SAFETY, CARE & MAINTAINING OF YOUR FLOW HIVE

Apply a coat or two of timber sealant to protect the timber and help it last longer.

Beekeeping is a labour of love. As with all animal husbandry, it’s a pastime which requires knowledge, skill and dedication and which carries with it inherent risks. Sooner or later, all beekeepers get stung. Some people have severe allergies to bee stings, so please be aware of the potential hazards when considering whether beekeeping is right for you. Check out this Flow sponsored safety pamphlet covering common beekeeping safety risks and first aid responses.
