I purchased a Flowhive 2+ and there was only a few slight imperfections and which were easily sanded, and some of the wood grain patterns on different panels didn’t match, but because I intended to paint the hive in the first place, it wasn’t an issue. This is a great option when considering how you are going to purchase a new hive. I have photos but haven’t been able to attach them. Happy customer.

I've wanted a second hive since starting my beekeeping journey and waited until one became available from the "Scratch & Dent" sale in order to save a few dollars. While warned the product may include some minor imperfections and/or need woodworking tweaks, I can honestly say I found no defects or need for any modifications during the assembly and finishing. It is perfect!. Although I considered purchasing a conventional langstroth hive as a second, I was sold on the Flow Hive from day one. As a backyard beekeeping hobbyist, I really did not have the desire or space for all the necessary equipment to harvest the honey. The support and resources available from Flow Hive are invaluable. I watch a ton of videos on beekeeping but find those posted by Flow Hive to be the most enjoyable. Keep up the great work folks. From a most satisfied customer.

The Flow frames make harvesting simple and calm — my bees barely notice, and I don’t have to...read moreI’ve been running the Flow Hive 2+ this season and honestly, it’s been a lifesaver. The Flow frames make harvesting simple and calm — my bees barely notice, and I don’t have to wrestle with heavy boxes or sticky extraction gear. For someone like me living with MS, where tremors and heavy lifting are an issue, this hive paired with the Flow Super Lifter has made beekeeping actually doable. I can still enjoy the hobby without it wrecking my body. The cedar looks beautiful once treated, and assembly was straightforward. The adjustable stand makes leveling easy, and the ventilation and pest tray design show real thought. I also added the optional hinges — pricey, but worth it for the peace of mind of having all the boxes latched securely together. My first harvest gave me several jars of clean honey straight from the tap, and it was surreal not having to disturb the bees to get it. Pros: • Huge help if lifting is a challenge (the Super Lifter is a game-changer) • Harvesting is clean, calm, and easy on the bees • Beautiful cedar build, clever design features • Hinges/latches give extra security Cons: • Definitely more expensive than a standard hive setup • Hinges are expensive

Lots of good instructional videos online and the paper instructions that go with the purchase were also detailed. So far, it has been great. We have bees inside and they seem to be doing well. Such a great idea to make bee keeping "less messy" when extracting the honey! The only thing I can recommend is to be able to include a j tool in the bundle. I had to buy this separately and would have been easier if it all came in one bundle.

Now I have no problems at all...read moreThis is the best invention ever Cedar and Stu. I have Multiple sclerosis and was finding managing my hives inspections too challenging to do alone. Now I have no problems at all ! I was able to insert the screws without worrying the bees 🐝 and then lifting the super to inspect the BB was so easy. For the first time ever ) 4 years of beekeeping I was able to take my time and inspect the frames and look for the 🫅 Queen. I was able to find her capture and mark her mainly because I didn’t have a lot of angry bees buzzing me as I left the super box inspection until last. I can’t thank you enough. I highly recommend this fantastic piece of equipment.

The material is...read moreMy daughter ordered Flow Hive bee suits for our 4- and 5-year-old grandkids. We have had them now for 2 years. The Flow Hive Suit is by far the most protective. The material is twice as thick as the sets I purchased from another source. They came with Mitten style gloves, which for our little ones was perfect. I would recommend Flow Hive suits to everyone, especially the kid suits. A side note, the oldest is now 7, I recommend fingered gloves for those ages 6 and up, she has really gotten into beekeeping and the mittens are a bit of a hinderance.

A month later we were ready to dive in and found a nuc from someone we met at our first local bee club meet- where we met Stu as well! Looking forward to adding the super & flow frames soon as the busy bees are filling their brood box up so fast. So excited for our first harvest. I have never been more impressed with the manner in which I am received by FlowHive Staff in that they are always welcoming, and secondly how amazingly well thought out their production process is; the quality of the items bought and the instructions by which to assemble them. You can tell that a lot of thought has gone into the way to put the gear together, but not from the manufacturer’s point of view, but from the purchaser's point of view who are simply not as familiar with the product. So the step by step approach is fantastic, especially for those of us, like me, who congratulate ourselves for being able to screw a screw in straight, rather than something that looks like a coat hanger! lol. So I stand by my title of this review…FlowHive is the best product available! Cheers Phil
