All Araucaria made Flow Hives and Supers need to be sealed with at least 2 coats of exterior-grade, good quality house paint. As with all outdoor paint, it will require a refresh every 12-24 months depending on local conditions.

A lot of thought went into this hive. It is designed so well and looks great in my yard. Any questions I’ve had about it have been answered quickly. I couldn’t be happier with it. I plan to purchase more.
Top quality, well built and such a smart design. Bought mid summer so have to wait but ready and super excited to get going in the spring!
We have had the flow hive for a couple months now. Construction was fine and painting the hive went well too. Lots of good instructional videos online and the paper instructions that go with the purchase were also detailed. So far, it has been great. We have bees inside and they seem to be doing well. Such a great idea to make bee keeping "less messy" when extracting the honey! The only thing I can recommend is to be able to include a j tool in the bundle. I had to buy this separately and would have been easier if it all came in one bundle.
Everything was great. I purchased a flow hive when it was a campaign and I purchased this one, The packaging was great the instructions were excellent, on line and in the box. I didn’t realize there were instructions in the box until I was about to complete the build. And now to set it out after painting
This hive has been very well made and is a great addition to my apiary. Easy to assemble and looks nice. I’m very pleased with it.
