Lifting honey supers to inspect the brood box can be a real chore โ first you have to chisel the boxes apart, then lift the heavy super off and find somewhere to put it down. And when you replace the super afterwards, bees often get squashed.
Weโve invented the Flow Super Lifter so that you can open a beehive without strain. It attaches and detaches easily to Flow Hives and conventional hives, it cracks the propolis seal for you, and weโve designed it to lift as many as two deep boxes at a time. When youโre ready to close the hive again, the Super Lifter lets you align and replace the boxes gently to avoid the bees getting squashed.

The Flow Hive Super Lifter offers real benefits across health and safety when inspecting hives, so it really is much more than device of convenience. It makes single person inspections incredibly easier and safer, particularly if you have heavily laden Brood boxes or Supers. As with all things in life, I am of the mindset that there is always room for improvement, so as a first edition, I would suggest some future refinements across a more intuitive installation process. All in all, a great step forward for individual beekeepers or more senior apiarists that have really welcomed the ease of access and banishment of heavy lifting!
Tried a couple of times since purchase. Itโs amazing how easy it is to access the bees now. No heavy lifting, no damage to the hive. What flow is doing is allowing everyone to enjoy beekeeping.
I recently purchased the super lifter and it is a game changer. It was such a chore to lift the full super off my hive so I would always put of checking on my hive. Now itโs a breeze and I actually enjoy the whole process!

If I could give this 10 stars I would! Thought long and hard before purchasing, but this lifter is SO worth the investment. Turns what was previously a dreaded, painful and time consuming exercise into a quick and simple task! No more trying to lift heavy boxes off or removing frames to lighten the load - once youโve got the necessary screws in place, away you go. Def recommend adding the handles if you have multiple boxes to lift at once, makes things even easier!
