This was our very first Flow Hive harvest!
It took the bees one full month (June) to fill the flow frames with honey.
It took about 2 hours to harvest all honey.

  • Flow Hive had been a perfect way to get into beekeeping. In avoiding the hassle and cost of equipment associated with harvesting honey, its been straightforward to set-up a hive, and to reap the reward at the end of the season.

I wouldn't have got into beekeeping had it not been for Flow Hive.

We are excited to announce our first Flow Hive with 7 Flow Frames available to U.S. and NOW Canadian customers!

Since the launch of Flow products on Indiegogo, a Flow hive built to fit 7 Flow Frames or 10 Langstroth frames has been the most asked for product on Flow Beekeeper’s wishlists.

10 Frame Langstroth hives are extremely popular in North America and many beekeepers prefer to have the extra two frames for their colony in the brood box and have told us they would like to keep new equipment compatible with their existing 10 frame hives. Having an additional Flow Frame in your super is a bonus for collecting more delicious Flow Honey!

Our Araucaria (Hoop Pine) Flow Hive Classic has become a favourite with Australian Flow Beekeepers since its introduction in 2016. More than just a beehive, the Flow Hive Classic is a thing of beauty.

Precision Manufacturing & Premium Timber

The patented Flow Frame technology is the most significant advancement in beekeeping since 1852, allowing you to tap honey directly from your hive right into a jar. Made in Brisbane, Australia, from durable, highest quality food-grade, BPA and BPS-free plastic- Flow Frames have taken the beekeeping world by storm.

Crafted from sustainably harvested Australian Araucaria, also known as Hoop Pine, using precision laser manufacturing, and paired with a full set of 7 Flow Frames, this is one sweet hive!

Araucaria is a premium Australian native cabinet timber, highly regarded for its stability & durability. To ensure it lasts a long time outdoors, two good coats of quality weatherproof sealant such as exterior house paint or varnish is a must. You can be as creative with the paint job as you like! SAFETY, CARE & MAINTAINING OF YOUR FLOW HIVE

Apply a coat or two of timber sealant to protect the timber and help it last longer.

Beekeeping is a labour of love. As with all animal husbandry, it’s a pastime which requires knowledge, skill and dedication and which carries with it inherent risks. Sooner or later, all beekeepers get stung. Some people have severe allergies to bee stings, so please be aware of the potential hazards when considering whether beekeeping is right for you. Check out this Flow sponsored safety pamphlet covering common beekeeping safety risks and first aid responses.
