All ThermoGrade Flow Hives and Supers need to be sealed with at least 2 coats of exterior-grade, good quality house paint. As with all outdoor paint, it will require a refresh every 12-24 months depending on local conditions.

ThermoGrade Paulownia is a very lightweight, fine-grained, and warp-resistant timber. It has natural insulating qualities which have been improved with our thermal treatment process โ great news for cold climates, overwintering, and hot summers.
Using an innovative, chemical-free thermal treatment, we've created a timber that improves longevity by making it less susceptible to fungi and bacteria, warping, swelling, or shrinking.
Paint it your way - apply two coats of exterior house paint for extra protection against the elements. Itโs the perfect canvas to get creative!
